can i have the details?

No doubt you have questions, let me help answer some of the most common questions I get asked upon booking. Still have questions after reading this section? No worries, just fill out my contact form and I will contact you shortly to answer anything and everything you would love to have more information about.

what do i wear?

Oh what to wear! Being in a photo shoot can give you butterflies alone, but wondering what to wear is even more nerve racking! Before your session, I will call you and we will have a nice chat about what clothing items you have that you love or if you would like to buy something fresh for you session, I have a "favorites" list on Amazon for you to look over and consider. For my pageant clients, we will go over colors, necklines, and materials to make sure you shine. For families, we will go over color schemes and choices for you and your family so we are on the same page. Have no fear that before you walk in for your shoot, you will be 100% covered (no pun intended) in the wardrobe department.

Do i need hair and makeup?

This is your session and I get to capture you and the goddess I see shining through my lens. You are beautiful just as you are, but who doesn't love a little pamper session to get the confidence going sky high! Lucky for you, I have a talented professional hair and makeup artist on deck if you choose to use them. For my boudoir and portrait clients, it is included in your packages! For my head shot and family clients, it is available for a small add-on fee so you can leave the stress at the door and know you'll be taken care of, just let me know at booking if you'd like her awesome services. If you do not wish to add-on hair and makeup, please come "wedding" or "first date with that guy or girl you've been crushing on forever" ready.

do i have to know how to pose?

No. Not at all. You just come in being your fabulous self and let me handle the rest. It is my job to make you look amazing, so let me be your mirror and I will guide you through all posing from your head tilt to your toe tips so you will nail every pose.

How do i book an appointment?

Appointments are booked 1-3 weeks out depending on availability and a session fee is needed to secure your date which will be discussed when booking. When you are ready to book your awesome experience, contact me via online or text and we will set up a consultation. From there we'll have a chat about available dates, your vision of what you want from your session, who you want to be photographed with (if it's just for you to feel empowered, all the better!), and get to know each other before your shoot.

How will you retouch my session?

My retouching style is similar to the magazine Vanity Fair. My editing goal is to take an awesome image and enhance it so that it's worthy of a magazine. I strive for clear/soft skin, clean lines, with a feminine feel. For my head shot and pageant clients, I focus on skin, connection, and an overall impactful presence. I want all my client's looking like the absolute best version of themselves.

what types of sessions do you do?

I love people. Not long after I started in photography that I was going to be a portrait photographer. I love to feel the connection from the person in the photograph, that is why I shoot all types of portraits. From the glamorous side like Contemporary Glam, Boudoir, Maternity, Motherhood, Family, Mother and Daughter, to the business side such as Head Shots and Personal Branding. If it's people, I'm in!

who can come to my session/reveal?

I know photo shoots can seem intimidating, and much needed support from a friend or family member can make all the difference. This is why you are most certainly welcome to bring one person to be your cheerleader to your shoot if you wish. If you are having a shoot with 2 or more people, please limit extra people as studio space is a bit tight! In the end we will all have fun cheering you on and gawking over all your gorgeous images.

How much discretion will there be?

This one is for my boudoir and contemporary glam clients. It is entirely up to you. If you book a boudoir and do not want your images shared by my studio, just let me know at your consultation. My studio is completely closed off so no one can see in and you have the upmost privacy. I also provide robes for you to use while changing or when you're not in front of the camera for your comfort.

What is a Photo Reveal and how is it done?

Your session is done, we had a blast at your shoot...now what? Now it is time for your big reveal! Hooray! In a week or two after your session, you will come back into the studio or set a time for a Zoom call and get to see all of your images you worked so hard for. I will show you a variety of images for you to choose from with a few edited to display what the final edits will look like. We will go over each one and create a "have to have" and a "maybe later" pile. From there you only you will select your images to be edited and I will get started on the magic that enhances the beauty of your selected photos.

logistics, where are you?

Sarah Lupinski Portraits is located at 3539 Briar Creek Lane, Ste F. in Ammon, ID 83406. The studio is located inside the Rockwell building in the basement. There is ample parking and you can enter through the main building and continue down the stairs to Ste F, or you can walk down the left set of outside basement stairs and go down the hallway to Ste F. I also offer on location sessions for family, grads, and couples!

How Much does a session cost?

For my head shot and pageant clients, sessions start at $179. For Boudoir, Portrait, Family, and Maternity/Motherhood clients, sessions start at $179 and packages start at $1200. For exact pricing, please contact me and I will send over a brochure with all pricing for your desired session.

how do i prepare to be photographed?

You booked your session, you're excited, but now what should you do? Before your photo session date, I would suggest booking your appointment for your hair and makeup, or do a trial application if you are doing it yourself. If you are wanting to get your hair colored, I recommend getting it done a week or two before to let the brightness and color settle. The night before your shoot is a great time to shave and drink lots of water to ensure supple glowing skin. If you usually spray tan, I recommend doing so 3 days before. If you do not usually spray tan, now is not the time to try it. With lighting and angles, your skin will look radiant just as it is! Do anything that makes you feel confident and good. Don't try to not eat because you'll need your energy for all that modeling! Do pamper yourself and get a mani/pedi and your eyebrows done. So eat that cookie, go full glam with those nails and lashes and let's create beautiful portraits!
